Product description
Pair of bronze candlesticks in the French Empire style, popular in the early 19th century (circa 1820-1840) during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte. Characterized by their neoclassical motifs, these pieces incorporate draped male and female figures, acanthus leaves, and ornate tripod bases reflecting the influence of Greco-Roman antiquity. Good condition. Restored by a professional polisher. Treated with microcrystalline wax to prevent oxidation of the bronze. Our items are not new. They may show some signs of wear or light scratches due to age. We describe and photograph the most significant flaws.
