An important pair of Chinese armchairs from the Qing Dynasty (1644–1912), crafted from solid wood and finely carved with spectacular dragon motifs. The backrests feature a richly perforated composition of intertwined dragons, an imperial symbol of power, strength, and protection in Chinese culture. The armrests end with carved dragon heads, while the seat band and legs are further enriched with elaborate decorations.
