Pair of matching lidded apothecary jars in white glazed earthenware with blue decoration, 20th century, in the Italian Renaissance style.
Their curved shape is accentuated by arcaded motifs, friezes, and blue lines. Gothic-style inscriptions in patinated gold tones adorn the bodies. The domed lids are topped with blue knobs.
A handwritten mark under the base, legible "F.2 Faenza," does not definitively identify the maker.
Condition: A chip on the upper rim of one of the jars, revealing the terracotta beneath, is visible in the photographs. Fine crazing in the glaze and signs of wear. Both lids are present. This decorative set is sold as is.
Dimensions of each jar: Height 28 cm; Width 12 cm.
