This elegant pair of pink pressed glass candlesticks beautifully captures the refined decorative spirit of the Art Deco period. Produced by the Pavillons glassworks at its Verreries & Flaconneries Mécaniques de Beignée factory in Ham-sur-Heure, Belgium, during the 1920s–30s, the candlesticks combine sculptural form with delicate coloration, creating a sophisticated yet playful presence.
Each candlestick features a gracefully twisted column that reflects and diffuses light through the soft pink glass. The scalloped candle holders and ribbed circular bases add rhythm and symmetry to the design, while the translucent rosy tone gives the pieces a warm and romantic glow, especially when illuminated by candlelight.
The combination of geometric precision and flowing spiral movement is characteristic of early Art Deco glassmaking, where functional household objects were elevated into decorative works of art. The pressed glass technique allowed for richly textured surfaces that interact beautifully with light from every angle.
Documented in original Pavillons catalogues under the name “Chandelier torsé” (twisted candlestick), these pieces are authentic examples of Belgian mechanical glassmaking from the Art Deco era.
Elegant and timeless, these candlesticks work equally well in both modern and vintage interiors. Displayed as a pair, they bring a subtle touch of glamour and authentic Art Deco atmosphere to any space.
Will be well packed and protected.
