Set of 2 Arne Norell Sirocco Easy Chairs in black leather and rosewood for Norell AB, Sweden 1970s
These iconic safari chairs are made from solid rosewood frames with original black saddle leather seats, backs, and armrests, joined by brass fittings and leather straps. A striking combination of high quality materials which provide the design with a luxurious feel.
The Sirocco chair reflects Norell’s skill in combining Scandinavian simplicity with the comfort and informality of classic campaign furniture. Its clever construction requires no glue or screws, the tension of the leather and the precision of the joints provide the structure, giving the chair its signature flexibility and comfort.
