This pair of Amanta armchairs was designed by renowned designer Mario Bellini for C&B Italia. The striking silhouette and innovative combination of materials make these chairs an outstanding example of Italian mid-century design.
The armchairs feature a white fiberglass shell that contrasts beautifully with the voluminous brown corduroy upholstery. The frame rests on spherical black legs, which visually complete the design. The modular nature of the Amanta system allows the armchairs to be used individually or combined to create a sofa.
The armchairs are in good condition, with age-appropriate signs of wear that emphasize their vintage character. The upholstery is intact and continues to provide excellent seating comfort. (Small stains on the cushions, slight discoloration and scuffs on the fiberglass (not visible when the cushions are in place), underside of the cushions worn through in two places (also not visible when the cushions are in place).
These armchairs blend beautifully into modern or vintage-inspired interiors. They are ideal as striking standalone pieces in a living room or as part of a larger seating arrangement.
