Rare set of two ÅLAND folding chairs, designed by Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA in the 1980s. A striking example of postmodern design: minimalist, graphic, and crafted from grey lacquered metal wire.
Lightweight and foldable, yet sculptural and architectural – typical of Gammelgaard’s work, which blurred the line between everyday object and design statement.
