Product description
This painting, 'Taxis new-yorkais', is by the French painter Christian Chibout (1951). In his early years as a painter, he developed a distinctive style by experimenting with mixed media. His base often consists of oil paint, over which he then applies liquid acrylic paint to create unique textures and depth. His work is known for its vibrant use of color with a positive, spirited appearance. His passion lies in capturing everyday fragments of life, architecture, travel, and landscapes. Common subjects include the beaches of Northern France, as well as travel scenes such as New York taxis, Venetian gondolas, and the trams of Lisbon. He exhibits regularly in his own region, including in local art galleries and at historical sites.
