Masaki Kazushi was born in 1963 in Osaka, Japan. He began painting in early childhood. An abstract expressionist, he was reprimanded by his elementary school teachers for his dreamy and unrealistic style.
Masaki Kazushi works from memory and intuition rather than direct observation.
He uses intuitive brushstrokes that evoke abstract landscapes, formations, and unconsciously generated writing.
His works have multi-dimensional, tribal structures inspired by ancient traditions.
