"When it was presented at the 1967 Milan Furniture Fair, the chair was such a hit with the public that many visitors left the stand and took the displayed chairs with them.
Following this unconventional compliment, the chairs were chained to the booth. Thanks to Plia and its study of the "three-disc pivot," which revolutionized the concept of the folding chair, Giancarlo Piretti entered history with the nickname "the Thonet of the 20th century."
Available in various colors, from the steel frame to the seat and back, it even comes in a version upholstered in Viennese straw stretched over a solid wood frame, further enriching an icon of quintessential Italian style."
