Product description
The P80 Grand Repose armchair and ottoman made by Tecta in the 1980s is descended from the design of the original Grand Repose designed by Jean Prouve in 1930.
The original was first showcased at the UAM exhibition in 1930. Just like the original this one features a finely balanced spring loaded reclining back. This innovative use of springs give a relaxed and weightless feel when the chair is reclined by simply leaning back in the chair.
This particular example if in perfect condition and was used mostly as decoration by its previous owner. What makes this piece so rare is the fact that it comes with the original back cushion and ottoman. This is a truly unique opportunity to own a piece of design history.
