Product description
Otto Zapf was a German industrial designer and entrepreneur. Zapf formed a congenial duo with Dieter Rams in the 1960s. As co-founder of the furniture manufacturer Vitsoe, he was responsible for several groundbreaking designs in post-war German design.
Otto Zapf's own designs are characterized by the absence of sharp edges and corners (quote Otto Zapf: “Because I have never discovered sharp edges on any person, I no longer want to believe that the objects we surround ourselves with must have sharp edges”). This feature is also evident in the design offered here. The seating position adapts smoothly to your posture. Hence the model name "Follow Me." The seating position is also lockable.
