Optically blown solid ice blue vase from the "Stella Polaris" - series.
Design by Vicke Lindstrand for Orrefors Glasbruk Sweden from 1939 and produced in the 1940s.
Signed at the bottom.
Height: 11.5 cm.
Diameter: 11 cm.
Weight: 1275 grams.
A larger vase from this "Stella Polaris" series is pictured on page 126 of the famous 1986 book "Glass in Sweden 1915-1960" by Helmut Ricke and Ulrich Gronert. See last photo.
The vase is completely clear on the inside and has unavoidable use scratches on the bottom. See photos for your own impression.
