This is a crystal bowl or vase designed by Olle Alberius for the renowned Swedish glassworks Orrefors. The piece features the distinctive 'Waves' pattern, model OA 4701-12, which exemplifies the modernist approach to glass design that Alberius championed during his tenure.
Crafted from clear crystal, the bowl showcases a deeply faceted, undulating exterior that catches and refracts light, creating a dynamic visual effect. The thick walls and substantial base provide stability and a sense of weight characteristic of high-quality Scandinavian art glass. The original Orrefors Sweden sticker remains affixed to the exterior, confirming its provenance.
