An original Thonet Vienna wall coat rack, crafted from bentwood in the early 1900s, approximately 1910.
The structure features two large, sinuous bentwood hooks and two secondary hangers with spherical ends. The flowing, sculptural lines reflect the Viennese tradition of steam-bent furniture and the essential elegance of the Art Nouveau and Vienna Secession styles.
Beyond the quality of its workmanship, this piece features a particularly interesting historical element: it retains the original metal plate with the inscription:
