Product description
For sale is an original openwork bowl from the Meissen porcelain manufactory in the world-famous Blue Onion pattern.
The bowl is distinguished by its intricately crafted openwork rim, the delicate underglaze blue hand-painted decoration, and the first-class workmanship for which Meissen porcelain has been prized worldwide for centuries. The classic Blue Onion pattern, combined with the artful basket shape, makes this piece a true eye-catcher.
This is shape number 332 with the original Meissen crossed swords mark. Based on the existing factory markings, the bowl dates from 1951. The two factory grinding marks indicate that it is a second-quality piece.
Provenance:
The bowl comes from a family estate and is being offered for sale from this collection for the first time. It is in exceptionally well-preserved collector's condition.
