Product description
Bidjar carpets, which are internationally regarded as the "iron carpets of Persia", are very dense and heavy and of excellent wool quality. During production, the weavers squeeze the pile so tightly that it stands almost vertically. The weft and knots are beaten with heavy wooden or metal combs, resulting in an extremely compact pile. This prevents gravel and other small particles from getting into the pile. Bidjar carpets are available in various sizes. From zaronim (approx. 150x100 cm) to larger rugs, everything is possible. The rugs are made of double knots (Turkish knots) and are available in many different patterns. The most common are Herati (flower with four leaves) or Mahi (fish pattern). Bidjar rugs are usually red and blue with beige elements and lend a robust and elegant charm to any room in which they are placed.
