The Story Behind the Gun Lamp
Philippe Starck's Gun collection for Flos Lighting is an exemplary series of lamps, consisting of table and floor-standing models. The "gun" is crafted from cast aluminum with an injection-molded polymer coating and a polished 18-karat gold-plated finish. While the lamp series may seem ostentatious to some, its significance is far greater than it first appears. What you may not know is that Flos donates 20% of the proceeds from the Gun collection to charity. The charity, Frères des Hommes, is an organization dedicated to fighting poverty worldwide. Comes with the original, fully functional dimmers. Good condition. Normal signs of wear on the base.
