Unique Vintage Falcon Chair with matching Ottoman (Hocker)
Offered: An icon of Scandinavian Mid-Century design. This original Falcon Chair was designed in the 1970s by Norwegian designer Sigurd Ressell and produced by the renowned furniture manufacturer Vatne Møbler in Norway. Rare and sought-after version.
While most Falcon chairs are equipped with a wooden base, this particular example is the very early and rare version with the chrome spoke base (wire wheel base). The chrome features a comfortable swivel function. Because the original, matching ottoman is included, this is an extremely complete and valuable set for the true enthusiast or collector.
Construction & Comfort: The design is known for its unparalleled seating comfort. The dark brown, quilted leather cushion hangs like a hammock in a sturdy canvas sling, which is stylishly secured at the back with leather laces. Condition of the furniture: Leather: In good, well-worn vintage condition with a beautiful, characteristic patina (craquelé consistent with its age). The leather is supple and has no holes or deep tears. Canvas & Construction: The canvas and suspension are in very sturdy and secure condition. Chrome: The chrome base shines beautifully and the swivel function works smoothly.
