For sale: An iconic 20th-century design masterpiece, an authentic Eames Lounge Chair & Ottoman (Model 670/671), designed by Charles & Ray Eames in 1956.
This piece was produced in Italy under official license by ICF (De Padova), one of the few historical manufacturers authorized by Herman Miller to produce Eames designs in Europe. It retains its original ICF manufacturer tag, guaranteeing its authenticity and provenance.
Condition & Details:
Shell & Wood: Molded plywood shell in very good condition, showing beautiful original grain and patina.
Base & Mounts: Original cast aluminum swivel base with light age-appropriate patina. Shock mounts are in solid working order.
Upholstery: Original black leather with a lovely natural vintage patina.
Condition Notes (Full Transparency):
There is a small seam tear/separation near the side zipper on the upper cushion trim (as shown in photos). Easily repairable by a specialist or usable as-is.
One button on the seat cushion upholstery has been replaced.
