Proudly offered: An iconic design classic in a rare, authentic version. This beautiful Cassina Maralunga set consists of a comfortable 2-seater sofa and a spacious 3-seater sofa. The set dates from 1995 (31 years old) and was designed by the legendary Vico Magistretti. The sofas are upholstered in a timeless, woven grey/black striped fabric. This specific vintage upholstery gives the sofas a unique character that fits effortlessly into modern, vintage, and eclectic interiors alike. Comfort and functionality: The unique and patented folding back mechanism (with the internal bicycle chain construction) still works excellently and smoothly on both sofas; only on the three-seater is the mechanism of the middle backrest (left section) a little stiffer, but it works well. You can transform the sofas in an instant from an active reclining position to a comfortable, high lounge seat with a headrest. Condition: The sofas are in excellent vintage condition with far fewer signs of wear than one would expect given their age. The fabric is intact throughout, and the construction and foam are still firm, offering unparalleled Maralunga comfort. Price breakdown & Sales options: We absolutely prefer selling as a complete set, as this combination with identical upholstery is rare. Should you be interested in only one of the two sofas, separate sale (subject to a good offer) is negotiable.
