The Olivetti Lettera DL is a classic portable typewriter, ideal for lovers of vintage writing utensils. Manufactured in Italy, this typewriter combines sturdy metal construction with stylish plastic accents. The typewriter won no less than two prestigious design awards: in 1954 Olivetti won it a Compasso d'Oro ("golden compass") and in 1959 the Illinois Institute of Technology named it the best design product of the past hundred years.
The typewriter was designed by Marcello Nizzoli who won several awards for this design.
