Ole Wanscher was a Danish furniture designer and architect known for his elegant, functional, and finely crafted furniture. His work was heavily influenced by 18th-century English and French furniture. This distinctive feature sets Ole Wanscher apart stylistically from most Danish mid-century designers.
Ole Wanscher studied under Kaare Klint at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He later became a professor at the same institution.
