This elegant oak tambour front cabinet reflects the functionalist yet sophisticated office furniture aesthetic popular in 1930s Hungary, most notably associated with the workshop of Károly Lingel. The piece features a characteristic rolling shutter that retracts to reveal a series of internal document trays, offering a perfect blend of period charm and practical storage.
The cabinet is in original vintage condition. As shown in the photographs, the piece has a slight side tilt and displays fading to the wood finish consistent with its age. There are also minor scuffs and marks on the base consistent with decades of use. It remains a sturdy and characterful example of mid-war European cabinetry.
