Subject: A rare depiction of Þingvellir (Thingvellir), Iceland. The historic Þingvallakirkja church and the rectory are shown, perfectly reflected in the waters of the Öxará River.
Artist: Signed "S. Kimura." Kimura is known for his outstanding landscape painting and use of light.
Size: Impressive 35.5 cm in diameter and approximately 4 cm deep.
Condition: Excellent condition. The colors are brilliant, and the gold rim is very well preserved. No cracks or chips.
Special Feature: Icelandic motifs are extremely rare at Noritake and were usually produced only as unique pieces or in very small series (e.g., for Expo 1970).
