The deep emerald green of this triangular ashtray stands out immediately. On each of its three sides, the Noilly Prat logo, flanked by the words Dry and Rouge, recalls the brand's two iconic vermouths. One can easily imagine the counter of a 1960s French café, aperitifs served in stemmed glasses, the evening light on the zinc bar. Founded in 1813 in Marseillan, Hérault, Noilly Prat is one of France's oldest vermouth brands. Renowned for its unique aging process under the Mediterranean climate and the blending of numerous aromatic botanicals, it used to furnish cafés, hotels, and restaurants with carefully curated advertising furnishings. This ashtray is a direct testament to that. Made from colored opaline glass by Opalex, as evidenced by the molded marking under the base, this object combines the quality of 1960s-1970s French manufacturing with the era's understated yet colorful aesthetic. Its triangular shape with rounded corners, its three cigarette rests, and its emerald green hue make it a decorative piece in its own right. Approximately 11 x 11 cm, height 3 cm. Some light signs of use, without affecting its presentation.
