The letters of "No Evil" are truly terrifying; the contrast of the red snakes that make up the letter H is truly striking. The evil snakes, in this case, are trying to hide their identities with balaclavas, fulfilling their mission of keeping "no evil" out there. The rest of the lettering, in neutral tones, seems to have sprung from a black-and-white cartoon, from the shadows of the past to the light of today.
I'm from Salerno, the heart of Campania in Southern Italy, and I started drawing graffiti in 1995, when a spray can and a wall were enough to make me feel free. From there, a long journey began, filled with traces on paper, projects on walls, colored canvases, and any surface I could get my hands on.
For years, I played with letters, transforming them into living forms, but over time, something changed: the characters began to take root in my head, coming to life between one line and the next. Surreal, a little cartoonish, sometimes funny, sometimes restless, and so a mix of lettering and personal imagery, of street and fantasy, was born.
In 2017, I pressed pause. A seven-year hiatus. But some things, once they're inside you, you can't silence them for too long. In 2025, I picked up my colors, pencils, and markers again, and began drawing as if I'd never stopped.
