This beautiful, minimalist wire chair, called Oti, was designed in the 1980s by Niels Gammelgaard for IKEA. A timeless gem from the Swedish company! The chair offers relaxed seating and is at its most comfortable with a soft sheepskin rug or a comfortable cushion. The anthracite wire frame gives this armchair an open and spacious feel. A perfect Scandinavian classic for your interior!
Niels Gammelgaard is an award-winning Danish designer who joined IKEA as a designer in the mid-1970s. Gammelgaard is known for his simple, minimalist, and functional designs that are simultaneously stylish, elegant, and timeless. These core values are certainly reflected in this Oti wire chair. His most recent collaboration with IKEA was in 2023. For the 75th anniversary, the then 80-year-old designer reissued another classic, the Järpen wire chair.
This IKEA Oti wire chair has some wear to the paint on the backrest, but is otherwise in perfect vintage condition!
