This rug is made of Tencel. Tencel is the brand name for lyocell, a sustainable semi-synthetic fiber made from wood pulp from sustainably managed forests, specifically eucalyptus trees. The fabric is known for its softness (similar to silk), strength, suppleness and excellent moisture management and breathability properties. The manufacturing process is ecological, using a closed system to reuse chemicals and water, resulting in a low environmental impact.
