Product description
This extendable oval dining table was made by Nathan, one of Britain's well-known mid-century furniture manufacturers, dating from the 1960s. Nathan furniture from this period is recognised for its clean, tapered legs and honey-toned wood tones, built for everyday family use. The table features a butterfly-action extension mechanism, with a hidden leaf that folds out from the centre to convert the compact oval into a longer dining surface. With a width that extends from 152 to 205 cm, it works well for everyday dining and can be opened up to seat additional guests for larger gatherings.
Condition and Character
Original condition with signs of use. The top shows scratches and light staining consistent with decades of everyday use, including a visible mark near one of the leg joints and scattered surface scratches across the tabletop. The extension mechanism operates as intended, and the table remains structurally stable. A manufacturer's brand label is present underneath.
