An exceptional and historically grounded folding desk and campaign armchair, officially produced as a numbered museum re-edition by the renowned French manufacturer Grange.
Both pieces are inspired by the original furniture associated with Napoleon Bonaparte during his early military years in Auxonne (1788–1791), now preserved at the Musée Bonaparte d’Auxonne in Burgundy, France.
Each piece bears its original brass plaque:
• Table de Napoléon Bonaparte – Numérotée 226
• Fauteuil de Napoléon Bonaparte – Numérotée 641

Historical Context
Before empire, before coronation — Napoleon was an artillery officer stationed in Auxonne. His environment was austere, disciplined and practical. This set reflects precisely that ethos.
The design language references Directoire and early Empire influences, yet remains intentionally restrained — almost military in its simplicity.
This is not an 18th-century antique. It is an officially sanctioned museum reproduction, crafted in limited numbered series, likely late 20th century.
