This striking Italian pendant lamp is a design by Luciano Vistosi for the renowned glass manufacturer Mazzega Murano, dating from the 1960s or 70s. The fixture is characterized by a sculptural, flower-shaped shade that reflects the masterful glass art of Murano. The lamp is crafted from high-quality Murano glass, where a warm yellow tint flows seamlessly into clear white glass. A striking detail is the contrast in texture: the exterior of the shade has a smooth finish, while the interior features a rougher, sandblasted structure (textured ice glass). The glass shade has a diameter of approximately 50 centimeters and is 34 cm high. The fixture is equipped with a brass-colored chain and ceiling rose, allowing the current suspension height of 96.5 centimeters to be adjusted as desired. The object is in good vintage condition, commensurate with its age and use. The glass is intact and the original Vetri Murano brand sticker is still present on the fixture, confirming the authenticity of this Italian design piece. This Mazzega pendant lamp forms an atmospheric centerpiece in an eclectic or mid-century modern interior.
