The Sommerso glass technique was used for this vase.
Sommerso, which in Italian literally means "immersed
is a technique used to create multiple
layers of glass (usually with different contrasting colors)
into a single object, creating the illusion of
"submerged" colors lying on top of one another without
blending together.
