Elegant Murano Sommerso block vase made of solid art glass in a striking combination of ruby red, amber/yellow, and clear glass. The multi-layered glass construction and the strictly geometric, cut form are characteristic of Italian glass design from the 1960s and 70s. A beautiful example of Mid-Century Modern, Italian Modernism, and Space Age design. Comparable faceted Sommerso vases are associated with, among others, Alessandro Mandruzzato, Flavio Poli, Seguso, Campanella, Bucella, Oball, and V. Nason. As this piece is neither signed nor labeled, a definitive manufacturer attribution is not possible. Dimensions: Height: approx. 14.2 cm Width: approx. 4.5 cm Condition: Beautiful, well-maintained vintage condition with only minor signs of age-related wear.
