MR Side Chair in the style of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe & height-adjustable side table inspired by Eileen Gray's E1027. A combination of two iconic gestures from early modernism. The cantilever chair is inspired by Mies van der Rohe's characteristic tubular steel design: a continuous, curved chrome-plated frame with a seat and backrest in grey leather, finished with visible stitching and button details along the edges. Next to it is the height-adjustable side table with a glass top, which harks back to Eileen Gray's iconic E1027 design. The polished chrome-plated frame, the round glass top, and the sliding locking mechanism allow the height to be effortlessly adjusted to an armchair, sofa, or bed. Both pieces are later editions, manufactured according to the original designs. They show honest signs of use: light surface marks and small scratches on the chrome, clearly visible in the detailed photos. Structurally solid and fully functional, with a smoothly operating height mechanism. A strong, thoughtful addition for those who appreciate the clean lines of modernist design, as a reading nook or simply as a sculptural object in itself. Price is for the set.
