The Moulin des Loups factory, established in Hamage-Thivencelle in Northern France, is one of the great names in 20th-century French faience. Renowned for the quality of its ivory glaze and the delicacy of its floral decorations, it produced elegant tableware between the 1950s and 1970s, highly sought after by collectors today. This plate belongs to the Mia Rosa pattern, reference 607. Against an ivory background, slightly bluish on the rim, a central bouquet combines a large burgundy rose with shaded petals and blue-violet carnations with fine, delicate stems. The decoration, hand-painted with great freedom of stroke, gives each piece its unique character. The shape is carefully crafted: a scalloped, wavy edge, and a rim adorned with a raised white net-like pattern running all around its circumference. The mark on the reverse, stamped MIA ROSA / 607 / MOULIN DES LOUPS / HAMAGE-THIVENCELLE / FRANCE, with shape number 21, confirms its origin and production period. Diameter: 28 cm. In very good overall condition. A beautiful, signed French dinner plate, for lovers of antique Northern French tableware.
