Original Smoke Chair designed by Maarten Baas for Moooi.
A true contemporary design icon, the Smoke Chair combines traditional craftsmanship with an artistic and unconventional expression. Each chair is created from carefully burnt wood that is treated and reinforced, resulting in the distinctive charred finish that makes the Smoke series instantly recognizable. The chair is upholstered in black leather with deep button tufting and decorative studs.
This example is in excellent condition with only very minor signs of use, including a few barely visible surface scratches consistent with careful ownership. The leather is beautifully maintained, and the characteristic burnt wood finish remains stunning and intact throughout.
Both a comfortable lounge chair and a sculptural statement piece, the Smoke Chair works equally well in a private residence, office, gallery, or hospitality setting.
