De Castellane. The name is written in elegant cursive on the milky white background, topped with the house's red crown. A timeless typography. A logo that needs no explanation. This advertising ashtray made of molded glass was intended for the tables of grand cafes and restaurants that served De Castellane Champagne, a house founded in Épernay in 1895. The glass is thick, dense, cut with serrated points all around the edge: a characteristic shape of prestigious advertising objects from the 1960s–1980s, designed to last and to be noticed. Today, it has found a well-deserved second life: as a catch-all on a desk, a key holder on a console table, or simply placed on a bookshelf as a collector's item for champagne and vintage advertising enthusiasts.
