Surrealist sculptures in wrought iron. Modules is part of the Urban Jungle series. The inspiration for the series comes from the processes and forms found in nature combined with human architecture. The unique figure emerged between hammer, fire, and anvil. Forging is a form of sculpting. The materials and technique used by the artist become fully integrated into the result. All sculptures possess a high tactile appeal, yet are layered in such a way that the viewer almost immediately begins to look for the message and the relationship they have with it... The sculpture was given a coating that provides the object with a beautiful shine and a black-brown color, accentuating the hammer blows. Unique signed work from 2018. The artist received a musical education at the Ghent Conservatory, after which he built a career as a horn player, conductor, composer, and teacher. At the same time, as a self-taught artist, his interest lay in artisanal wrought ironwork, initially to restore or manufacture all kinds of ironwork in the traditional way. Later, he discovered the possibilities of creating sculptures. After a meeting and short internship with Martin Granel, he discovered the combination of glass and iron. The artist exhibits regularly at the Garemyn Hall in Bruges. His work was also on display at the Vlask Gallery in Ghent. Dimensions: 55 cm x 17 cm x 13 cm
