For sale is an exceptional modernist set of post-war Belgian design, matching the iconic school furniture aesthetic manufactured by Tubax in the early 1950s.
This rare set includes:
- The dual-tier school desk: Features a solid wood top shelf, open cubby compartments, and a central wooden drawer.
- The matching swivel chair: The highly sought-after "shell" desk chair model, mounted on a central height-adjustable axis.
Condition & Restoration:
Both pieces have been completely and meticulously restored by hand. The elements are crafted from beautiful solid beech wood, which has been fully stripped and sanded down to reveal a gorgeous, smooth, light raw wood grain. The distinctive tubular steel frames have been freshly refinished in a soft, elegant grey tone. A sturdy, high-quality, and iconic addition to a children's bedroom.
