Product description
Set of two cordless vase lamps – coordinated in shape, color, and fabric – suitable for balconies, patios, or living rooms.
This duo consists of two small, matching table lamps that are ideal for placing as a set – for example, on a sideboard, bedside table, or as a pair in the living room. Thanks to their cordless design, both lamps are flexible and also suitable for use on balconies or patios.
Both vases are upcycled from two very typical vases of the West German Pottery era of the 1960s/70s – perfectly color-coordinated and featuring an olive-green glaze. Despite their different origins, they appear together as a deliberately designed ensemble.
The Vases
The larger vase has a clear, cylindrical shape with a distinctive handle and a smooth, multi-layered glaze with a subtle sheen. The ceramic comes from the Gräflich Orthenburg manufactory.
The smaller vase has a ribbed texture and a typical base marking, often found on Scheurich ceramics. The shape, glaze, and markings strongly suggest an attribution to Scheurich, even though the exact model cannot be definitively identified.
Both vases are classic examples of West German pottery.
Dimensions
Large lamp:
Overall height: approx. 39 cm, the vase without the socket is 14 cm high, the shade has a diameter of 20 cm.
Small lamp:
Overall height: approx. 31 cm, the vase without the socket is 10 cm high. The shade has a diameter of 15 cm.
Both vases were carefully converted into lamps: no holes were drilled, a reversible plug-in solution was used, they are weighted for stability, the openings are sealed with brass caps, and the E27 sockets have a brass finish. The collector's value of the ceramics is fully preserved.
Technology – wireless & flexible: The lamps are powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. Light duration up to 12 hours. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12. The LED bulb is suitable for outdoor use. It can be dimmed using the included remote control – several light colors are adjustable.
Thanks to their wireless design, these lamps are ideal for locations without a direct power outlet, such as balconies, patios, or gardens. They also work well on sideboards, shelves, or dining tables.
The lampshades: Both lampshades are covered in the same fabric, creating a visually cohesive set. High-quality cotton fabric from Japan with a floral-graphic pattern.
Color scheme: warm natural tones with green and black accents. The high-contrast pattern combines organic floral shapes with graphic elements, creating a calm, warm light effect when the lamps are switched on.
A harmonious duo of West German ceramics and handcrafted lampshades. Both are unique pieces. The price is for both lamps together.
