Heavy, sleek minimalist side/saloon table with a rosewood veneer on four steel legs with square profile. The continuous grain and warm color give it that typical Mid - Century look. Size 60×60 cm: ideal next to the sofa or as a compact coffee table. Stands rock solid due to its weight.
Provenance (presumably)
Based on choice of materials and construction (rosewood veneer top, welded steel tube legs, sober detailing) this is probably Dutch or German manufacture, circa 1970s. Form language is consistent with modernist furniture "in the style of" Pastoe / 't Spectrum / Florence Knoll. No label was found; provenance is therefore a substantiated attribution.
Details
Period: ca. 1970s
Dimensions: 60 × 60 cm, height 35 cm
Condition: vintage condition with signs of use; top is straight and construction very solid.
The table is quite heavy.
The scratches are hard to get in the picture but there are several scratches on it, the veneer is a little loose on one side (is not otherwise visible) and it does have several spots and dents.
Possibly I have a second similar table for sale.
A few chips, dent in the table, several scratches.
