Cordless Vase Lamp – Suitable for Balconies – Made from a Striking West German Pottery Vase (likely Marei Keramik or Walter Gerhards Keramik)
This expressive accent lamp combines a rare, high-gloss ceramic vase with a warmly glowing, fabric lampshade to create a unique focal point. The vase features a clean, architectural form with an integrated handle and a vertical relief pattern – typical of West German Pottery from the late 1960s to the early 1970s.
The vibrant red glaze with its flowing texture appears lively and deep depending on the light. A particularly intriguing detail is the signature "WALL" incorporated into the glaze on the side. Its origin is not definitively established. The "190" stamp on the base fits well with common model numbering systems of the period – however, a definitive attribution remains elusive, further emphasizing its status as a collector's item with a fascinating history.

The vase was carefully converted into a lamp without any drilling. A high-quality plug-in solution with a weighted base ensures stability. The original material remains completely intact – ideal for collectors.
There is a small chip on the vase opening, which has been repaired with matching ceramic paint – see photo. The chip is inconspicuous and can easily be turned to the back of the lamp.
Technology – Wireless & Flexible
The lamp is powered by a rechargeable LED bulb, which can be charged via a USB-C cable. It provides up to 12 hours of light. The bulb can be purchased separately for approximately €12 and is suitable for outdoor use. It is dimmable via remote control and offers several adjustable light colors.
