Model 4636/2 Ice Glass Wall Lamp by Carlo Nason for Franken KG, Germany, 1970s. This impressive large-scale wall lamp is a beautiful example of Carlo Nason’s mastery in working with glass. Produced by Franken KG, it combines sculptural form with exceptional material quality, resulting in a design that is both elegant and architecturally striking. The lamp features a substantial curved shade of thick frosted “ice” glass, characterized by its richly textured surface and beautiful light-diffusing properties. The glass terminates in distinctive triangular-shaped ends, adding a strong geometric element to the otherwise fluid form. When illuminated, the heavily textured glass softens the light beautifully, creating a warm and atmospheric glow while emphasizing the depth and complexity of the material.
