The iconic Model 56 Armchair was designed in 1954 by the renowned Danish designer Niels Otto Møller and manufactured by the traditional J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Denmark. To this day, the model is one of the most sought-after designs of Scandinavian Mid-Century design, embodying the perfect combination of craftsmanship, timeless elegance, and exceptional seating comfort.
Characteristic of the chair are the flowing, organic lines of the armrests, which harmoniously merge into the solid teak frame. The fine proportions and the masterfully executed wood joints impressively showcase the high craftsmanship for which Niels Otto Møller and his manufacture became world-renowned.
The example offered here is in exceptionally good condition. The original papercord weaving is almost as new, tightly stretched, and shows hardly any signs of use.
