This solid dark stained pine by Danish designer Jacob Kielland- Brandt, 1960.
Its geometrical shape and form clearly evoke a pure visual response.
Beautiful visible joinery combined wit pure lines.
Nothing is overdone and every unnecessary frill or ornament is omitted. One of the approaches of minimalism design at the time was to refrain from any emotional aspect and strictly follow a rule-based system. This is very much reflected in this design.
It has been well loved through the years, hence some battle scars (nothing structural) which can be easily fixed with some TLC.
I think the current condition adds to the striking appearance and beautiful patina of this piece
