This Jakabsonn-style wall lamp is a characteristic example of Mid-Century Modern lighting design. The design combines an organically shaped wooden wall plate with two elegant, curved brass arms that hold the light sources, resulting in a warm and timeless aesthetic.
The fixture is crafted from wood and brass, materials typical of the production period. The wooden elements, including the teardrop-shaped backplate and the spherical socket holders, display a natural grain that contrasts with the golden sheen of the brass. The lamp features original wiring and a pull switch, contributing to its authentic character.
The object is in good condition commensurate with its age and use. Over the years, the materials have developed a natural patina, which enhances the vintage look without compromising functionality.
