Mid-century, vintage, collectible, barber / vanity / wall / shaving mirror from France, inside of a nickel-plated brass frame with rounded edges, circa 1950's - 60's.
This timeless piece, remains in overall very good, original and vintage condition, with some light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the overall structure, as can be expected for a piece of this age, with some tiny, barely visible marks of age and use on the actual mirror, but no cracks or chips (see photos.) Some light signs of age and previous use on the nickel-plated frame, rounded edges, back panel and hanging system (see photos.). The beige/light tan-colored, back panel (casing) of the mirror has a glossy finish that has maintained a nice patina of time with some light marks, signs of age and previous use, consistent with age and time, but no rips or tears.
There is a multi-purpose, fully functional hanging system, that enables one to either mount it on a wall, or place on a dressing table, make-up table, etc. (see photos.)
A fantastic piece of history for daily use, and an excellent gift for collectors of nostalgia, that will look fantastic in an entry hallway, niche, bathroom, bedroom, living room, et al. Its functional, practical design, makes it compact enough to place into a carry-on bag when traveling. One could even place on a wall with other mirrors, to create an accent wall in any given room.
Piece has only been gently cleaned, with respect to its original patina of time. All photos taken in natural, indoor light (the 2nd to last photo in natural outdoor light), so colors may vary, based upon brightness, reflections, angles and perspective in which they are viewed.
