A striking small cabinet from the European post-war modern period, likely dating from the 1950s. The graphic design of the front is particularly distinctive, featuring two opposing sliding doors in bold red and black, framed by a warm-toned wooden body. The two doors glide smoothly on guides, saving space and allowing them to slide laterally. Behind them is practical storage space with an intermediate shelf. Long, gently curved wooden handles add a handcrafted touch and create a pleasing contrast to the flat, colorful fronts. The side panels are slightly angled, giving the piece a subtle trapezoidal silhouette when viewed from the side. Narrow, raised trim strips on the top and the overall minimalist construction emphasize its functional mid-century character. Its compact size makes it versatile enough to be used as a small chest of drawers, bookcase, record cabinet, bedside table, storage unit, or as a standalone decorative object. Condition: Authentic vintage condition with noticeable signs of age and wear. The wooden frame shows scratches, dents, minor defects, and discoloration, particularly on the edges and top.
