This Mid - Century mirror comes from Italy in the 1950s and impresses with its striking frame made of dark-stained bamboo cane. The individual rods are connected with leather straps, which not only ensures stability, but also gives the piece a handcrafted, almost exotic look. The mirror glass has a rectangular frame with elegantly rounded corners that give the strict lines a soft touch. The combination of natural materials and clear geometry reveals a typical design of the time, combining functionality with a decorative presence.
The mirror can be mounted on the wall or used free-standing, allowing it to be used flexibly in different rooms - whether in the entrance area, in the bedroom or as a decorative statement in living or work areas. The back is finished with a simple wooden panel, as was typical for the production methods of the 1950s. The original hooks for hanging are still present on the back.
Dimensions: L54.5 x W3 x H101 cm
The mirror is in good vintage condition with an authentic patina. The glass shows light spots and small irregularities due to age, which emphasize the charm of the piece. The bamboo frame is sturdy and solid, with minor signs of wear on the surface, while the leather bindings show nice ageing but are fully intact.
